Langit Pulang Pisau yang mulai sering berawan menjelang akhir tahun, lembar-lembar Buletin Sistem Hutan bergerak melintasi desa, sekolah, hingga kantor pemerintahan.
BPBD, Slamet menerima buletin sambil berbincang soal kesiapsiagaan karhutla. Bappedalitbang, Rita Yosephine mencatat kedatangan tim sebelum menandatangani tanda terima.

Akhir November–02 Desember, Penyelesaian Satu Perjalanan
Buletin menjadi salah satu caranya.

As the Pulang Pisau skies began to cloud over as the year drew to a close, the Forest System Bulletin (Bulletin Sistem Hutan) spread throughout villages, schools, and government offices. From mid-November to December 2, 2025, the KPSHK team, along with the Village Forest Management Agency (LPHD) and village networks, embarked on a lengthy distribution process, handing copies one by one to strategic recipients.
This bulletin is more than just a publication. It is a field diary documenting the community’s collective work in protecting peat forests and implementing social forestry. As Aftrinal S. Lubis, KPSHK Program Manager, stated, “Our hope is that more people will learn about and benefit from the interventions of our Kahayan Hilir Initiative project.”
From Gohong to Mantaren I, A Morning Trail Full of Greetings
The first days of distribution began in the assisted villages. In Gohong, recipients welcomed the bulletin with curiosity. At the village office, Village Secretary Vinni Pebrianti accepted the bundle of bulletins handed over by the team, while the LPHD Management, led by Yanto L. Adam, examined the front page, which documented peatland restoration activities.
In Mantaren I, Pirit, Head of the Mantaren I LPHD, signed the receipt and emphasized the importance of this bulletin as a record. “This is what we can show during village meetings or during visits,” he said.
From Buntoi to Kalawa, the same pattern repeated itself: brief conversations about restoration, thanks, and a warm welcome from the KUPS, MPA, forest guard team, and even the traditional leader.
Penetrating Regency Agencies, Bulletin Reaches Policy Desks
November 12–14 saw the turn of strategic offices in Pulang Pisau Regency. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Slamet, received the bulletin while discussing forest and land fire preparedness. The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappedalitbang), Rita Yosephine, noted the team’s arrival before signing the receipt.

The bulletin also reached the Pulang Pisau Regent through his staff, Yaumil, and the Deputy Regent through Rudi. On the same day, the Dekranasda (Regional Handicraft Council), the Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK), the Kahayan Hilir Police Chief, the Sub-district Head, and the Damang (Customary Leader) Idon Y. Riwut received similar packages.

For policymakers, the presence of this bulletin is not merely documentation but also a reflection of community involvement in protecting the peat ecosystem.
Greeting Students, a Bulletin for the Next Generation of Forest Guardians
The most lively part of the distribution process occurred when the team reached the schools. Nearly all high schools (SMA/SMK) in Kahayan Hilir, Pulang Pisau, Maliku, and Jabiren Raya received 10 copies.
At SMKN 1 Kahayan Hilir, several female students flipped through the bulletin pages immediately after receiving it. “Is this about the forest near our house, Ma’am?” asked one student.
Teachers at other schools also stated that the bulletin would be used as supplementary learning material, particularly in environmental and climate change lessons.
Late November–December 2, Completion of One Trip
As we entered late November, distribution was still ongoing in Kalawa and several other villages. The final recap showed that more than 70 strategic institutions and individuals had received the bulletin, complete with photo documentation and receipts.
A member of the KPSHK Media Team said, “This bulletin is our way of ensuring that the voices of the community on the ground don’t stop in the villages, but reach those who can help strengthen their work.”
For the distribution team, this trip was more than just the delivery of printed media, but also an effort to expand the space for dialogue between the community, government, schools, and local organizations.
More Than Just Publication
This year’s Forest System bulletin distribution demonstrated one thing: that knowledge must move. It must be exchanged, studied, debated, and become the basis for forging new collaborations.
From village to city, from the traditional leader’s desk to the regent’s office, from the forest guard post to the high school classroom, every copy of the bulletin carries the same message: peat ecosystems can only be preserved if the community is involved, and that involvement needs to be continually shared.
The bulletin is one way to do this. And this distribution journey from November to December 2, 2025, is proof that that story has now reached many hands.
