Uus said that the first process, KUPS Madu Buntoi was formed in 2020 and has already made honey bottle packaging. After this packaging was finished, it turned out that there were many inputs from KUPS assistants and other colleagues, namely that it must have a halal label and Home Industry Production (PIRT). In January 2024, KUPS Madu Buntoi will begin processing applications to obtain a halal certification for honey products.
“This application has been around for a long time, but we don’t have the link. At the end of 2023, we have friends who can help take care of it. In January 2024, we will get a halal label after going through WhatsApp chat, we will complete it. We are waiting for the process and will be informed furthermore.” Uus said
Uus again explained that the conditions that must be met are product photos, we have already taken care of the NIB beforehand. And the formula is filled in via the Whatsapp application, not face to face. The contents of the formula that need to be completed include the name, NIK, NIB, year the business was founded, ingredients for making the product, attached photo of the honey product according to the packaging contents according to the size from 100 to 500 ml. All of these processes are free and free of charge.
“The interesting story about this halal label is that we don’t put too much pressure on friends who help (actively ask questions). We were worried that he was busy, so we waited for news of the process until it was finished. “Maybe because we waited too long, we only asked about it in April 2024,” explained Uus
Uus revealed that the form had been submitted in January 2024 until the end of March 2024 to wait for the results of the halal label form. At the beginning of April 2024, he took the initiative to communicate again with his friend, wanting to ask about the continuation of the halal label form. Received a response stating that the halal certificate for Buntoi Honey was ready.
“Currently we are making preparations from the department to fill exhibitions both at the Pulang Pisau district level for the Central Kalimantan Expo 2024,” said Uus
Uus said that currently the KUPS Madu Buntoi product has received a halal certificate. Future plans will continue to take care of PIRT. Once we get the halal and PIRT labels, we will design the newest packaging labels.
In the future, KUPS Madu Buntoi will develop even more. Sales are not stagnant. Buntoi Honey products can be distributed to large-scale stores.
